The Solution
ABC Sheds built a 99.15m x 13.7m fully enclosed U-shape shed with a 6.6m eave height and 10° gable roof pitch. The substantial structure uses 310 UB hot-dipped galvanised columns and hot-dip galvanised open web joists across 17 bays of 5.83 metres each.
The building features six electric roller doors providing excellent vehicle access to different areas. Nine personal access (PA) doors throughout the structure ensure convenient pedestrian access and emergency egress.
A key feature is the attached lower roof building at one end, measuring 7m wide x 6m high with a 25° roof pitch. This includes a shop front with double swing doors and fixed glass infills, creating an attractive customer entry point.
The building includes eight windows (six at 1800mm x 1200mm and two at 600mm x 1200mm), all fitted with fly screens for natural light and ventilation. Wainscoting sheeting extends 1.5m up the full external perimeter, providing durability and visual appeal.
Aircell roof insulation keeps the interior comfortable year-round, while 77 linear metres of bulkhead awnings above doors provide weather protection (1200mm over PA doors, 600mm over roller shutters). The structure uses 100mm x 75mm metal downpipes for effective water management.
