Virginia Russell and Peter Asimus approached us in need of a dressage arena that would allow them to train their horses all year-round, no matter what the weather conditions were. They also required a stable block to house their horses that not only looked good, but was good on the environment too.
Virginia and Peter needed a solution that allowed them to train their horses in both indoor and outdoor environments, as unpredictable and extreme weather conditions had previously made this challenging. Plus, they also needed an environmentally friendly horse stable.
Due to their unique requirements, both the dressage arena and horse stable needed highly specific features. They sought a supplier who could deliver precisely what they envisioned.
This project demanded a high-level of attention to detail, which is why ABC Sheds was ultimately chosen for the job. We were proud to meet Virginia and Peter’s requirements, delivering a 42m x 21m x 4.5m open-plan dressage arena that allows them to train horses year-round.
In addition, we built an 11m x 12m horse stable with 4.6m awnings on each side. To achieve a rustic aesthetic, we clad a steel-framed shed with a timber finish. The use of recycled timber not only enhanced the horse shed's charm, but also made it a cost-effective and sustainable choice.
