✔︎
Sheds already in stock
Popular designs are pre fabricated and can be delivered in as little as 2 to 4 weeks from order, thanks to a streamlined design and manufacturing process.
✔︎
Eight popular shed sizes to choose from
Choose from eight popular pre designed shed sizes, available in either three sided (open on the long side) or open ended (two long sides enclosed) designs, to suit storage needs from hay and machinery to general equipment.
✔︎
Built to last
Our kit sheds are made with fully fabricated structural steel frames that are around six times heavier than a purlin frame. This heavier, stronger construction provides exceptional strength and stability, even in harsh Australian conditions.
✔︎
Fully galvanised frame
All steel components are hot dip galvanised in molten zinc alloy, creating a thick, durable coating that seals the surface. This protection is effective against moisture from heavy rain, saltwater spray, and high humidity. This helps to guard against rust, mould growth, and long term structural damage.
✔︎
Easy to install
Precision fabricated components fit together accurately, reducing time on site and avoiding costly rework. Pre-welded and bolted frames make assembly simpler, and a dedicated project manager is available for guidance throughout the build.
✔︎
Australian building standards exceeded
Site specifically engineered by an independent structural engineer to exceed AS/NZS 1170 for structural design actions, AS/NZS 4600 for cold formed steel structures, and AS 4100 for steel structures, ensuring superior strength and compliance for your location.
✔︎
25-year "You're Covered" guarantee
A long term warranty that protects your shed’s structural integrity for 25 years. Backed by thorough inspections and proven manufacturing processes, it ensures your shed stays safe, stable and dependable well into the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a shed kit usually cost in Australia?

Prices vary by size and specification. As a general guide, roof-only farm sheds start from around AU $150/m², while fully enclosed designs start from around AU $250/m².

For Durakit kit sheds, open-ended designs start from $67,299 incl GST for a 32m × 15m × 6m model, up to $103,599 incl GST for a 40m × 21m × 6m. Three-sided designs start from $71,599 incl GST for a 32m × 15m × 6m, up to $110,799 incl GST for a 40m × 21m × 6m.

What is the biggest size shed you can have without planning permission?
It depends on state and council rules. Generally, sheds larger than 20 m² may require approval, though exceptions exist for rural zones. For example, in parts of rural NSW, farm sheds up to 200 m² may be exempt, provided they meet specific criteria.
What tools or skills are needed to assemble a kit shed?

Kit sheds are designed to be straightforward for owner builders, with all steel components pre cut, drilled, and ready to bolt together. Basic construction skills are recommended, along with the ability to read and follow detailed instructions.

Common tools you’ll need include a cordless drill, socket set, tape measure, spirit level, ladder, and lifting equipment such as a scissor lift or telehandler for positioning larger sections. Safety gear like gloves, safety glasses, and a hard hat is also important.

If you have previous experience with DIY construction, rural building projects, or working with steel, you’ll find the assembly process even easier.

How is a kit shed delivered?
Each kit shed is securely packaged and prepared for transport, with components grouped for easy identification on site. Sheds are transported on trucks, and a forklift, hi-ab truck, or similar lifting equipment will be required on site to unload. The delivery includes all parts listed in your order, checked against the packing list to ensure everything arrives in good condition and ready for assembly.
Do you offer installation for the Durakit range?
The Durakit range consists of kit sheds, designed for easy installation by any confident handyman. And you won’t be on your own. Our experienced Projects Team is available throughout your build to answer questions and provide support.
